Music at the cutting edge. Also! Thoughtful, beautiful music from Pocket, a brand new and innovative Sheffield-based duo featuring Manon McCoy (harp) and Glenn Hicks (bass), playing original compositions influenced by folk, jazz, ambient, classical and hip hop.
Webb City / Wednesday 24th November / The Lescar (£10/£5 students) One of the most in-demand musicians on the London jazz scene, Joe Webb is a uniquely exuberant, swinging, and assured pianist, joined in this trio celebrating the music of the great Art Tatum by a rhythmically astute line-up in Will Sach (bass) and Dave Archer (guitar). Certain to be an absolute delight of an evening, a must for anyone who loves jazz piano.

With a full band of drawn from London’s creative jazz scene (Matt Robinson – piano, Chris Hyson – bass, Dave Hamblett – drums and Zac Gvirtzman – horns) they’ll be playing music from his newly released fourth album, ‘A Reckoning Bell’.
