Our December programme! The Seven Jazz Leeds countdown to Christmas starts here...

Thursday 4 December 8pm - "Neon" Quartet@Seven Arts 

Stan Sulzmann: tenor sax; Kit Downes: piano; Jim Hart: vibes; Tim Giles: drums

Sunday 7 December 1.30 pm: Robin Porter's Quartet@Inkwell

Robin Porter- Tenor Saxophone, Jonathan Brown- Guitar, Sam Vicary- Double Bass, Tom Hawthorn- Drums

Robin Porter is a brilliant young Leeds sax player who has ben making waves on both the local and national scenes.This is a gig on Robin's first national tour - he’s been at the Proms on the BBC – playing “Border Sounds” at Proms Plus with poet Francis Leviston and played a lovely gig at our Inkwell venue earlier this year. Glad to say he's back!

Sunday 14 December 1.30 pm: Autumn Jazz Cafe@Seven Arts

Come along and enjoy the fun! Bring your instrument or brush up those vocals and come down and join in. There will be a first-class rhythm section there to support you (the trio will have Declan Forde on keys - just back from Berlin - and Jay Davis up from London on drums). The Seven Jazz Voices Choir led by Tessa Smith will be singing a few and the Seven Jazz Saturday Workshop band led by Dom Moore and Robin Porter will be wowing us with their talent. And listeners are very welcome too!

Our Christmas jazz party! Nicola is a classic singer/double bass player- whether in the Ella Fitzgerald swing or Dusty Springfield soul mould. - and widely recognised as one of the most accomplished jazz/swing vocalists in the UK. The Great Escape! Tues 30 Dec 8.30pm@Seven Arts

You'll need a break from festive frivolities this Christmas! Te "Great Escape" jazz open mike session is for you - Tues 30 Dec 8.30pm - 10.30pm at Seven Arts Leeds 31 Harrogate Road Leeds LS73PD

Bring your instrument or brush up those vocals and wow us with your talent. Wear that winter woolly warmer for the first (and only) time? Get away from the turkey sandwiches and come along and enjoy the fun. There will be a rhythm section there to support you. Listeners are very welcome too!
