Cool Yule at Liverpool!

 Duncan Eagles

John McCormick from Parr Jazz Liverpool writes

"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your toes"
That evocative opening line from the great Mel Torme classic tells us it's that time again...
Yep, this is the Yuletide Edition of The ParrJazz Bugle!

Would you believe another busy ParrJazz year's drawing to a close  -  doesn't time fly when you're having fun. If you're feeling a bit, 'Baby it's cold outside' don't let your timbers shiver, at least not on a Tuesday anyway  -  just come on down and wallow in the winter wonderland that is Cool & Hot  -  ParrJazz at Frederiks. All jam packed with groovy sounds & festive fun

9th December London based sax player Duncan Eagles will be landing on us complete with his steaming quartet

The week after 16 December that we welcome a 'newby' to the club and we're really looking forward to the first visit of the fantastic young vocalist with the 'retro' repertoire Ms. Amanda Brown

Which builds up nicely to our annual shindig.  It's here again and the date for your diary is the 23rd December - "The ParrJazz Christmas Party !"
Bigger and better than ever, it's gonna be fun packed, guest packed and jam packed full of jazzy goodies
As always the 'House Bandits' plus this year we're bringing back those chirpy funsters & jazz party specialists 'The Speakeasy Bootleg Band'
Lots of other guests dropping in too  -  to play, sing, dance, eat our famous mince pies and generally join in the merriment
Maybe even Santa himself will call in ahead of his big gig  -  to make sure we've all been good boys and girls!

And that's not all for 2014
To chase away those 'Post Christmas Blues' and say goodbye to the old year in style, Tuesday 30th. is time for another of our now annual events -  'ParrJazz Twixmas' featuring ivory tickler & vocalist extraordinaire Rob Stringer !

The New Year is looking really good too  - the stellar lineup of guests for 2015 includes, in January, the amazing vocalist Makuini from New Zealand, international guitar luminaries Stu McCallum & Mike Walker, the multi talented Steve Parry and the critically acclaimed "We Free Kings"

That's pretty much it for now though so let's give the final words to  'The Duke'.
As he always put it  -  'We Love You Madly - &  It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing'

From all the Team at ParrJazz........................Have a Cool Yule and a Great 2015 !

'ParrJazz', Liverpool is housed every Tuesday in Frederiks Bar/Bistro, 32 Hope St. Liverpool L1 9BX
