Ribble Valley Festival steams ahead!

Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues is full speed ahead in its preparations for the Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues Festival 2020, Thursday 30th April 2020 to Sunday 3rd May 2020. Based in Clitheroe, Lancashire it’s a marvellous mix of international star headliners, community events, pub gigs, Dinner Jazz opportunities, workshops and presentations. Festival Freedom Passes at £85 / £75(club member) get you access to all the ticketed shows at the Festival across four days!

Special Opening Night with Kyla Brox - Thursday 30 April | weekend headliners so far: Dennis Rollins’ Funky Funk, Alina Bzhezhinska - Hip Harp, Gwilym Simcock Trio featuring Mike Walker & Hermine Deurloo, Issie Barratt’s Interchange & Rafiki Jazz and many more.

As part of the festival mayhem, and In collaboration with Issie Barratt, Interchange and the National Youth Jazz collective we have three exciting propositions. Call for Scores: Expanding Donna’s Secret An exciting opportunity for female composers wishing to gain more experience in writing for large ensemble. For women composers to submit work for mentoring and development with Issie before and up to the festival use this submission page  
Interchange’s Young Professional Session Players scheme : An invitation for early careers female instrumentalists aged 20-30 to take part in an authentic professional session For young talented pro/semi pro female musicians to become part of the Interchange group. Applications on this webpage

Two workshops for youngsters up to the age of 18 and into music making from Issie Barratt and the National Youth Jazz Collective - can't be missed. 10 - 4pm Saturday 22nd February 2020 and 10 - 3pm Saturday 2nd May 2020 - with celebration performance on Saturday 2nd May 2020.
